Four West Neck ... the best kept secret on Shelter Island ...

Amenities at Four West Neck ... a Great Room where you can put your feet up and listen to music or watch television before a roaring fire in winter or under a lazy fan in summer.
There is no bed and breakfast on Shelter Island as pretty as Four West Neck. Its two rooms are beautifully appointed with lovely artwork and fresh flowers. Each has its own deck sitting area. The rooms have terry cloth robes and beach towels for guests in addition to luxorious bath towels one finds  only in first class hotels. Guestrooms have binders with information about Shelter Island and the most recent Shelter Island Reporter with up-to-date news. Guests are offered help with making dinner reservations.
Your hostess is an Islander and can quickly connect you to what you actually want to do and see.
The shared bath is no more than two steps away from either room, more convenient than most European guest houses of equal repute.
Breakfast is a buffet served from 8 to 10 am, or later if guests request it. Breakfast consists of coffee, tea, juice, cereal, toast or muffins, and fresh fruit. The New York Times is available upon request at about 9 am.
Four West Neck is about six city blocks from Crescent Beach and Bridge Street, and is within walking distance of several popular restaurants, including the Olde Country Inn, Penelope's, Sunset Beach, Barefoot Charlie's, Bob's, Michael Anthony's, Sweet Tomatoes, The Chequit, and The Dory.
Our Shi Tzu, Chi Yazzie, asked that no dogs accompany our guests.
